Interview Tips

1) Review your itinerary so you know the scheduled events

2) Bring a copy of your CV

3) Bring a list of references (3) and/or letters of reference if you have them. Make sure you have communicated to the people you have chosen as your references.

4) Bring a list of questions especially if you are comparing jobs

5) Be on time

6) Dress appropriately in business attire

7) Show enthusiasm, often that is what wins the employer over Say something positive about the practice

8) Don't bad-mouth past employers

9) Discuss your strength and skills

10) Talk $ last. If no one has brought up compensation feel free to ask, "Can we talk about compensation?" then be ready to ask your questions such as; what is the starting salary or income guarantee? Is there a sign on bonus? Is relocation covered? Is there a productivity bonus? Is this a partnership opportunity and at what year is it offered? Is there a buy-in? What expenses do I bear?

11) If you want the job, SAY SO! This is best done at the close of the interview but if the opportunity does not present, you can confirm your interest in a thank you letter back to the hiring authority after the site visit.
